    Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month

    Hello Pig Pen friends,
    Hope everyone is well, and excited about the big weekend!
    I wanted to let everyone know that September is National Ovarian Cancer Awareness month, and as an ovarian cancer survivor, I wanted to pass along some possible life saving information to all the women, and the women in your lives you know and love.
    Ovarian cancer is called the "Silent Killer" because by the time it is found, it's usually in advanced stages. By the time I went to my doctor, I was stage 3B, out of possible 4 stages.
    Below are some signs and symptoms, and also the link to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition for further information, and of course if anyone has any questions, please send me an email.
    Help break the silence to this deadly cancer.

    Symptoms of Ovarian Cancer

    Ovarian cancer is difficult to detect, especially, in the early stages. This is partly due to the fact that these two small, almond shaped organs are deep within the abdominal cavity, one on each side of the uterus. These are some of the potential signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer:

    Pelvic or abdominal pain or discomfort
    · Vague but persistent gastrointestinal upsets such as gas, nausea, and indigestion

    · Frequency and/or urgency of urination in the absence of an infection

    · Unexplained weight gain or weight loss

    · Pelvic and/or abdominal swelling, bloating and/or feeling of fullness

    · Ongoing unusual fatigue

    · Unexplained changes in bowel habits

    If symptoms persist for more than 2 weeks, consult your physician.

    Thanks hun, have an amazing long weekend. Brian and I will be working over time this weekend because they anounced the top 5 couples who have the most votes and we weren't in it so we have four more days to push real hard and get those votes in.     What!? You and one other person said that but I do not see it anywhere and I have not been listening to the show cuz my mom's car doesn't even have a radio, lol!!!     just want to say thank you once more that is awsome that you have brought ppl to our aid. We really do appreciate it. Tel your friends to stop by aswell we would love to tell them thank you aswell. Sometimes it's hard to believe that people will go out of their way to help you when you need it, but individuals like yourself and those we have met through out this contest have shown us that they really do care about others.
