    Fabolous and Lil' Jon believe Britney Spears' comeback is legit. Fab tells O-K magazine, "A lot of people were counting her out and thinking she could never come back... It's not as good as before, it's even better." And Lil' Jon tells People, "Britney is very intelligent and she's really set up [for success]... She is focused and she wants it again, so it's definitely going to happen for her."

    Ne-Yo's latest disc is titled Year of the Gentleman, but he can be un-gentlemanly when he needs to -- and he insists he's not he's "a punk." Ne-Yo tells us, "People take my kindness for weakness all the time, like I won't smack [someone] upside his head. It's been a couple of instances in clubs where somebody will say something on the sly and really think that I'm not gonna respond... I'd like to be the bigger man and not take it there, but please don't get this R-&-B thing twisted."

    Amy Winehouse is doing the unthinkable -- she's getting back to work on music! The troubled singer has buried the hatchet with producer Mark Ronson, who she worked with on her failed attempt to create a theme song for the upcoming "James Bond" movie, Quantum of Solace. The pair will team up to record a song for a Quincy Jones tribute album due out next year. A source close to that project tells London's Daily Mirror, "Amy first met Quincy backstage at the Nelson Mandela gig in June. He knew who she was and she was so thrilled to meet him. Her performance clearly impressed him -- he was raving about her." -- David Sprague

    In honor of the fifth annual V-H-1 Hip-Hop Honors, Naughty by Nature has released a new song titled "Hip-Hop Honors" on V-H-1's website.

    Fat Joe and Ne-Yo performed at the third annual Hennessy Artistry Concert Series in Miami on Wednesday.

    Erykah Badu is expecting her third child, according to the New York Daily News. The singer has a 10-year-old son named Seven Sirius with OutKast's Andre 3000 and a four-year-old daughter named Puma Rose with rapper The D-O-C. Badu won't confirm reports that her boyfriend, rapper Jay Electronica, is the baby's father.

    KEM is working on his third disc, KEM Three: Intimacy.

     - Akon will release a disc titled Freedom on November 25th. The lead single is "Right Now (Na Na Na)." No word on guests.

    - Kanye West will host a benefit concert in Washington D-C on November 9th. The Give Back concert will help out the Live to Give Campaign and the Dr. Donda West Foundation, which is in honor of his mother.

     - The Game and Lloyd have signed on to perform at the 20th annual International Arts Festival next weekend in New Orleans. Other artists on the bill include Tamia, Collie Buddz and Red Fox.

    The video for "Another Way to Die," Alicia Keys and Jack White's theme song from the new "James Bond" flick Quantum of Solace, has hit the Internet.

    - Kanye West will not face felony charges from the vandalism attack on the paparazzi at the Los Angeles International Airport earlier this month. According to T-M-Z, the L-A District Attorney decided to drop the pending charges against West and his road manager, Don "Don C" Crowley. The case has been sent to the L-A City Attorney's office and knocked down to a possible misdemeanor prosecution. -- Elle Castro

    - R-&-B star and star producer Jermaine Dupri says his friend and So So Def business partner Travis Barker is doing well. Dupri tells People magazine, "He's doing good. He's gonna be alright. He's just got a lot of healing to do." Dupri says that fans of the Blink 182 drummer can expect to hear from him soon. "He's supposed to send a message out to everybody in a couple of days to let everybody know that he's feeling better. He's definitely feeling the love from everyone." Dupri also says a customized hospital room -- complete with I-Pods and computers -- is making Barker much more comfortable, and he estimates he'll be out of the hospital in two weeks. Barker and D-J A-M were the only survivors following a fiery plane crash in South Carolina last week.

    - D-J A-M has been released from the Georgia hospital where both were being treated. Meanwhile, a memorial service was held Saturday for James Bland -- the co-pilot of the plane, who was one of the four people killed in the crash. Friends and family turned out at an airfield in Orange County, California for the service. --Doug Leibowitz & Glen Weisman

    While taking in the Gucci show in Milan, Italy last week, Riahnna confirmed reports that she'll launch her own clothing line. She tells Women's Wear Daily, "I'm not one to rush into anything. I want to take my time. I can't say when it will be released, but it's definitely going to happen." Rihanna, who recently signed on as a spokesperson for Gucci, cites the luxury brand's charity work as incentive to do the campaign. "I give them so much respect."
