Last night I went and saw OneRepublic, at the tiny State Theater. This was one of those bands I was looking forward to seeing live. I’m a sucker for sappy boy bands. I discovered OneRepublic a while back before Timbaland remixed “Apologize” and gave it stunning success, making it the breaking records song it is today. The band has also released “Stop and Stare” as their second single. I had a fabulous time at the concert but I’m also a fan as well as my friends. So I was able to sing along with all the songs, sway, and dance. I enjoyed hearing the songs I’ve sung along to in the car performed live. However, I can see how people who have not heard the CD enjoyed the two hit songs and thought the concert dragged a bit. If you haven’t heard the CD it’s worth checking out. It’s main stream pop; most of the songs are dramatic, and deal with emotional pain, and melancholy feelings. They deliver a strong melody that captures your attention, and you’re likely to find yourself singing along. My top track picks: Come Home, Say (All I Need), and Someone To Save You. Check them out! I decided to be a music critic today, how did I do?  

So... lately I've been hearing "Do you know who you look like? Jenna Bush." This hasn't happened just once, it's happened several times! It seems to be the "pick up line" I've been hearing for weeks. I'm starting to think I must look like her for numerous guys to tell me I resemble her. It seems to be always guys too. So random! So, here's my question, do I really look like her?  Or is this some random line?  I'm going to start pretending to have secret service watching!

Saturday I was at the Gator game... then the USF game.  Two games in one day, not many people can say they have accomplished that one.  Anyway.. I sit about 8 rows up on the South end zone, the mascots always walk by and stop and take pics. do silly things.  Well, this week Albert (the alligator) was doing the "Soulja Boy" instead of cranking it, he was doing the chomp.  It was so cute!!  Too bad I didn't think to get out my camera phone fast enough.  I did find this on you tube though, the quality isn't the best!!  But it's funny!!!  Go Albert!!

My little Ava is getting so big!!  She acts like a grown up at times.  She's gotten into playing dress up, putting on heels that she finds around the house.  She's even decided to take up Guitar Hero.  That's my little girl!!  Heels and Guitar Hero it's really all you need in life, lol.  Isn't she adorable?? 

"Crank That" by Soulja Boy is one of the hottest songs right now, along with the dance. People are doing this dance from clubs, to players on the football field. It seems like everyone knows how to do this dance, and the people that don't know want to learn. Since Soulja Boy realized there was such a demand to learn his dance, he made this step by step instructional video last week, and posted it where else?? You Tube of course!! Good luck learning the dance (hey at least it's good exercise!) Hope everyone had a great weekend!! ♥
